LOVE… LOVE… LOVE… allow me to share this love story with you…
Everything was going well in this big village. The villagers live well together. The king was so happy with the peace and tranquility within his kingdom. I mean, he built this kingdom from the ground up, he placed these people in his village. Each time he woke up, he would step out to the balcony of his chamber, looked across his kingdom, and begin to smile with excitement. He was happy.
But suddenly, things began to change. Many atrocities began to creep into the kingdom. Villagers began to engage in destructive activities and behaviors. Things got so bad that the king began to regret ever putting these people into his kingdom. He began to ruminate about what he was going to do. How can he save his kingdom, these people from the path of destruction they are going? He loves them so much and doesn’t want to lose them.
So, one day, he decided to do something that no one has ever done for love in the history of mankind. He knew what to do. A sacrifice has to be made. And it has to cost him deeply if he is willing to go all the way for his people. This king has a son. Just one son whom he loves so passionately. So, the king decided to give up the very thing that cost him most, his son. For a village who could care less. But he did it anyway.
Now, that is LOVE! Who among us can do that? Give one of your children, or your only child to die in the place of people who don’t even care. That’s what God did for you and me. He did not have to do it, but He did it anyway. Jesus did not have to go to that cross, but He went anyway. All for LOVE!
Moments before He died, Jesus cried, “… Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be done.” Luke 22:42. Then on the cross, “… Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” Matthew 27:46. He did not have to do it, but He gave up himself for a dying world all for LOVE!
The amazing LOVE of Jesus! 1 John 4:9-11 says, “9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Don’t take this love for granted. If you do not know this Jesus, if you do have a relationship with my Jesus, now is the day to begin. He loves you so much and readily waiting to accept you regardless of your flaws and inadequacies. Just say, “Lord Jesus, thank you for this sacrifice of love on the cross. Thank you for giving it all for me. Thank you for paying the debt of my sins for me, which I could not pay. You paid the ultimate price for me. I believe that You are the son of God. I believe that you came to die for me and you resurrected on the 3rd day in victory. I’m sorry for all I’ve done. I surrender my life to you. Please forgive me and make me your own. Come into my heart and abide in me. I make a decision today that I will not return to my sins. Please help by Your Holy Spirit. Thank you, Jesus, for this amazing Love. In Jesus’ name. Amen”
That is it! IT IS DONE! Welcome into the family of Jesus! Get a bible, constantly study it for growth, and find a bible-believing church to attend so you are fellowshipping with believers like you, and you do not walk alone.
“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.” Jude 24-25
